Kansas City Invention Convention

The Kansas City Invention Convention (KCIC) is a STEMIE (STEM + Invention + Entrepreneurship) competition and outreach program presented by the Linda Hall Library. KCIC teaches problem-solving and creativity to students in grades 3-12 and provides educators with access to a FREE project-based curriculum that follows the seven-step invention process. By competing in KCIC, students have the opportunity to win cash prizes and a chance to compete at national and global competitions!

Invest in the future by supporting the Linda Hall Library’s Kansas City Invention Convention (KCIC).  Sponsorship helps make KCIC accessible to more of our region's youth, and includes funding student trips to compete at the Invention Convention U.S. Nationals, competition day transportation, awards, educator professional development, afterschool outreach, invention supplies, and MORE!
