Digital Initiatives Unit: Document Delivery
The Linda Hall is committed to providing fast, reliable access to our extraordinary collection of scientific publications. As an independently endowed public library, our goal is to make a wide spectrum of STEM literature available to academic researchers, technological innovators, and emerging scholars.
Interlibrary loan and document delivery services provided by The Linda Hall’s Digital Initiatives Unit will now be managed by the Rapido system.

Fair Use and Copyright
The Copyright Law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.” If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use,” that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
Please read the terms and conditions for electronically delivered requests.
The Linda Hall requires copyright to be paid for any request made by a for-profit organization.
Copyright fees are determined by the rights holder and vary widely by publication. If you are concerned about copyright costs, please designate the maximum fee you are willing to pay for a request when creating your account. If copyright costs would cause the fee for your request to exceed your maxcost, you will be notified before your request is processed. You may also email the Library at requests@lindahall.org to request the copyright fee for a paper.
This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of the copyright law.
